Cross-Company Collaboration on Projects and Estimates

Teamwork in BEEMESTA means several companies sharing access to projects, reports and catalogs without sending files back and forth. Designers, estimators, suppliers and clients work with the same data in their own accounts, while the data owner decides exactly who can see and change what.

How to share a project, report or catalog with another company

The project owner grants access to a specific partner company, not to an email address. Permissions are granular — view, edit, delete — so you can open exactly as much as the work requires. The partner sees your data in their own account, up to date in real time. This way the designer, estimator and client work on one project in a shared space, with no extra software to install.

For catalogs, permissions are set per branch of the tree: you can open one catalog to a partner and keep the rest closed. “Shared Access” in company settings shows both directions — what you have shared and what has been shared with you. The “Revoke access” button instantly closes everything opened to a company, and the data stays with you.

Company partnerships: the foundation of data exchange

A partnership is a prerequisite for any data exchange between companies on the platform. Until both sides confirm it, you can’t share a project or price list with that company. Partners and pending requests are gathered on the “Partners” tab in company settings.

For a supplier, a partnership unlocks special prices for specific companies or projects: partners see its partner price lists instead of the public ones, and until a request is confirmed, the company works with public prices. Suppliers also see partnership agreements and partnership requests on the dashboard, in the “Clients & Partners” section. Ending a partnership automatically closes all access granted to that company.

User roles and permissions in a company

Within a company, a user’s rights are defined by their role: “Owner”, “Administrator” or “User”. The owner and administrators manage company settings, users and partnerships, while users work on the working pages. Specific actions — viewing and changing formulas, viewing the budget structure or associated costs — are protected by permissions that are checked on the server.

New people are invited to the company or given the company code so they can send a request themselves. Access granted to your company by a partner is distributed among your users. A deactivated user can’t sign in, but their data is kept. If someone works in several companies, a project link switches them to the company that owns the project and keeps them on the same page.
